Outfitting and Transition; IO&T Planner

Overview

LMI is seeking an experienced Activation Project Manager to provide comprehensive Activation Services for transitioning, installing, and implementing move plans. The role provides post‑occupancy support and closes the activation project. Position is remote with extensive travel to Jacksonville, NC;
Beaufort, NC;
Nashville‑Clarksville, TN; and/or Baton Rouge, LA.

• Pre‑Activation Planning:
  • Lead and guide users and stakeholders to identify new workflows and processes for the new facility.
  • Conduct workflow assessments reviewing patient transport, staff egress, equipment and supplies movement routes, safety, and security.
  • Create and document a Delivery, Installation, Testing, and Acceptance Plan.
• Implementation and Coordination:
  • Support schedule development, acquisition, installation, and occupancy timelines with the project team.
  • Coordinate transition and activation activities in APS, AIMS and Individual Service Project Schedules.
  • Develop installation processes and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery.
  • Produce finalized FF&E layouts and ensure proper placement.
• Facility and Equipment Management:
  • Oversee delivery, staging, and installation of all equipment and materials.
  • Manage all aspects of FF&E from the warehouse.
  • Ensure accurate record‑keeping and data updating.
• Site Management:
  • Ensure site safety, security, and waste management during all phases.
• Post‑Occupancy Support:
  • Facilitate government acceptance of installation services, resolve issues, and provide punch lists.
  • Support VA Biomedical Engineering personnel with equipment inspections, acceptance tests, and biomed checks.
  • Update inventory systems and provide documentation to logistics teams.
• Employee Orientation:
  • Develop a Day in the Life Plan to ensure operational readiness.
  • Develop and distribute orientation kits for new employees.
• Project Closeout:
  • Manage final turnover of the facility and ensure all documents and deliverables are completed.
  • Lead post‑occupancy evaluations and participate in related activities.

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare Initial Outfitting, Transition, and Activation services.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or Architecture.
• Proven experience with comprehensive activation services: planning, coordination, installation, and post‑occupancy support.
• Strong project management skills handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for stakeholder management.
• In‑depth knowledge of healthcare infrastructure, facility operations, and clinical services.
• Experience in a healthcare setting and in conceptual advance planning, move sequencing, and detailed implementation.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project), Microsoft Office Suite, and planning tools.

Preferred:

• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with VA or DoD planning and procurement systems.
• Knowledge of federal procurement policies and procedures.
• Remote position with preference for applicants in Jacksonville, NC;
  Beaufort, NC;
  Nashville‑Clarksville, TN; and/or Baton Rouge, LA.
