Position: (Remote) Manager, Account Follow-Up Services

Job Summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, is seeking a Manager, Account Follow-Up Services who is experienced, strategic, and able to lead the team. This role will help improve financial health, build client relationships, and enhance the revenue cycle.

Remote and Travel

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in the US. The successful candidate will be required to travel to our Tennessee office on occasion, with travel of 10‑20% per year for client meetings, conferences, or team events.

70K - 90K

What Your Impact Will Be
  • Lead Your Team – Guide and develop a high‑performing team, set clear goals, review performance, and build a culture of quality and ownership across all teams, including remote ones.
  • Improve Processes – Create and refine smart ways to manage client accounts and collect revenue more effectively, standardize revenue cycle processes, identify risks, and manage multiple projects.
  • Analyze Performance – Use data to track key results, spot trends, provide reports and advice to senior leaders and clients, and improve metrics such as denial rates, AR days, aging percentages, and cash collections.
  • Manage Clients & Partners – Serve as the main contact and trusted advisor for clients, build strong ties with cross‑functional teams, solve complex account problems, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Ensure Compliance – Follow company rules, industry regulations, and best practices to protect operations and client trust, with strong understanding of healthcare compliance.
  • Stay Current – Keep up with industry trends, new rules, and technology to maintain competitiveness.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience:

    At least 5 years in account management, revenue cycle management, or similar, with 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of all RCM steps and payer operations.
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD‑10, HCPCS codes, and medical coding rules.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations.
  • Experience with EHR/PM systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, eClinical

    Works.
  • Proven success leading hospital RCM operations and managing performance.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Ability to set expectations, conduct reviews, and ensure accountability.
  • Experience managing remote, cross‑department teams.
  • Strong change management and continuous improvement focus.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills with data‑driven action.
  • Track record of improving key metrics like denial rates, AR days, aging percentages, and cash collections.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Organized, attention to detail, and effective time management.
  • Proactive, results‑focused, and committed to client satisfaction.
