Position: Project Manager I

Are you a results-driven, team-oriented leader? As a Project Manager I, you will manage projects from design through release and program closeout, ensuring successful delivery to customers. You will develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and interface with internal and external stakeholders on technical matters. This role typically involves managing simpler projects and serves as an introduction to people management within the ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area, a leader in ISR and aviation and a prime integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from design to release, including initiation, execution, delivery, and closeout.
  • Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Identify necessary resources and coordinate their allocation.
  • Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters.
  • Manage simple projects such as studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort, services-only, spares, or projects with minimal deliverables.
  • Serve as a Control Account Manager on larger programs as needed.
  • Track project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators.
  • Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
  • Adapt to changes and remain flexible to ensure project success.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2+ years of project management experience (internships not included). In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a project.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Capacity to work in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work.
  • Experience in tracking progress against milestones, budgets, and performance indicators.
  • Experience managing risks, scope, and resources during project execution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or a similar tool.
  • Experience developing budgets and managing projects to those budgets.
  • Experience managing project scope and scope creep during execution.
  • Experience with risk management planning and documentation.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and regulations.
