Summary
Project Field Supervision of Crafts, Subcontractors, Field Staff or Home Office Staff and overall Budget Performance as well as management of the overall site. Perform other duties as required.
Responsibilities- Oversee the daily construction activities at the work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project.
- Work with contractors to complete the project within the given budget and timeframe.
- Resolve contract disputes and arrange any necessary order changes.
- Be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Perform a variety of tasks, lead and direct the work of others, and exercise creativity and latitude.
- Report to a manager or head of a unit/department.
- Supervise the daily activities of business support, technical or production staff in an assigned area.
- Resolve standard and non-standard problems.
- Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinate work activities with other supervisors.
- Typically do not perform the work being supervised.
- Have formal supervisory responsibilities.
- Have in-depth knowledge of work processes and tools within own area.
- Use operational and supervisory expertise to solve problems within own area.
- Interpret customer needs and assess requirements.
- Set day‑to‑day direction for employees to support business objectives.
- Work within budget to meet operational objectives set by the manager.
- Resolve routine problems using defined processes and own experience.
- Coordinate resources to meet short‑term objectives.
- Explain difficult issues and obtain agreement as needed.
- Manage performance of employees through task assignments, ongoing skill assessment, and coaching.
- Have 0–3 years of relevant experience.
