As a Senior Business Director at Capital One, you will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges, collaborating with professionals to develop and test strategies that impact the bottom line. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and innovation.

We are seeking a Senior Business Director with a demonstrated interest and aptitude for AI. While formal on-the-job AI experience is a plus, candidates who have proactively incorporated AI into personal projects, explored AI-driven development environments, or built automations using AI agents will be considered. Show how you have used AI to learn, build, and solve problems beyond basic text generation.

• Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitive success amid shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
• Leadership: May manage and develop multiple analysts; coach and mentor to develop and retain talent.
• Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product-level data modeling and analytics.
• Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing for select products and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences and breakthrough technology concepts for go-to-market strategies.
• Credit Risk: Drive improvements in credit performance by linking drivers of future trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses with rigorous monitoring and analysis.
• Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
• Partnership: Collaborate across IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and other areas to drive quality, volume, service, and profitability.
• Strategic and analytic orientation: Track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics, with strong quantitative orientation for analytics-driven marketing and credit risk management.
• Leadership and integrity: Demonstrate tenacious decision making with a responsible, entrepreneurial mindset.
• People leadership: Build and leverage a high-performing team and cross-enterprise partnerships; foster innovation, drive decisions, and deliver results.
• Executive communication: Strong written and oral communication, strategic influencing, and ability to drive agreement through collaboration and negotiation.
• Results orientation: Focus on achieving short and long-term goals and a demonstrated ability to execute in uncertain environments.
• Entrepreneurial experience: Thrives in a fast-paced environment; previous consulting experience is a plus.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 5 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
• At least 5 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
• At least 3 years of people management experience
• At least 3 years of project management experience

• Master’s Degree
• 5+ years of people management experience
• 3+ years of product development experience
• 3+ years of financial modeling experience
• 3+ years of economic forecasting experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries are for candidates hired to work in one of these locations and reflect the offer at the time of posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on hours.

New York, NY: $294,100 - $335,700 for Sr Business Director

Remote (Regardless of Location): $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr Business Director

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location, as reflected in the offer letter.

This role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
