Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company's RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development.
As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Area Business Lead is responsible for promoting Revolution Medicines products and services to the oncology community in the Eastern area of Germany. This person is ultimately accountable for building, leading, inspiring, developing and guiding the activities of six Senior Oncology Account Managers (SOAMs) so that all performance targets are exceeded each quarter. In addition, they are responsible for growing key business relationships with area-level healthcare accounts, including major health systems, large practice networks and region-specific oncologists by developing and executing strategic account plans, maximizing appropriate product utilization, maintaining strong customer relationships and furthering the company’s reputation as a leader in oncology.
The role requires strong analytical, coaching, collaboration and communication skills, as well as a proven track record of success as a sales leader, building world-class teams and launching first-in-class medicines. The Area Business Lead should have the ability to synthesize large volumes of data to strategically guide the team and collaborate with cross-functional matrix partners to drive optimal outcomes and foster an unusually healthy and engaging culture.
This position reports directly to the Sr. Director, Commercial Lead, Germany.
- Recruit and develop a best-in-class sales team, cultivating a culture of exceptional performance, accountability and patient-first mentality.
- Shape an integrated, customer-centric, and high-performing regional execution strategy. Foster a culture of continuous development, learning agility and personal accountability within the team.
- Design and implement area-specific sales strategies that align with brand objectives, leveraging deep market insights and customer needs.
- Combine strategic leadership, coaching and an entrepreneurial mindset with a deep understanding of the oncology care landscape to take responsibility for regional development, team performance and consistent execution of the corporate strategy in the market.
- Create and communicate short- and long-term vision, strategies and initiatives in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Drive exceptional team performance by setting clear goals, providing tailored coaching and recognising and rewarding successful behaviours.
- Lead the development and alignment of key levers of performance such as quarterly business plans and skill building to ensure top performance.
- Participate as an active member of the sales leadership team and provide input and creative thinking into the strategic planning to address all critical business opportunities and promotional tactics so that the field perspective is represented.
- Act as a conduit for relevant market information from local, field-based employees to home-office leadership, as well as appropriate recommendations for action.
- Oversee the relationship between Revolution Medicines and key area accounts, leveraging internal resources while meeting customer goals.
- Manage all resources within budget.
