Management Analyst Manager

THE POSITION

As a Management Analyst Manager with the Department of Transportation, you will oversee critical material, procurement, and inventory processes that support transportation operations across the Commonwealth. This position will allow you to manage a dedicated team, develop policies, and collaborate with partners statewide. You will help strengthen efficiency, support training programs, and improve service to customers and suppliers.

This position leads the Materials and Inventory Management Section by overseeing procurement activities, inventory processes, statewide training, and helpdesk operations.

• Section Leadership:
  Plan and direct daily work, set goals, and oversee a team responsible for procurement and inventory activities
• Policy Guidance:
  Develop procedures, recommend policies, and support purchasing and inventory management across the Department
• Inventory Oversight:
  Manage statewide materials inventories and ensure accurate reporting of maintenance material usage
• Training Management:
  Coordinate development and delivery of training programs related to inventory, procurement, and purchasing
• Procurement Support:
  Review procurement needs, assist with contracting processes, and ensure compliance with statewide requirements
• Helpdesk Supervision:
  Oversee the procurement and inventory helpdesk to support staff statewide and identify areas for improvement

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch.
• The position will be headquartered in the Keystone Building with the possibility of an alternate work location at an Engineering District Office if space is available.
• Telework:
  You may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time. To telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
• Salary:
  In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.

• One year of experience as a Management Analyst Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title)
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in technical management analysis work, which included one year supervising the evaluation of work methods, procedures, or organizational structures, and a bachelor's degree
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training

• You must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
