Emergency Management Coordinator

Position: Emergency Management Coordinator Hybrid Role
Become the Senior Emergency Management Coordinator with the Canadian Red Cross in a hybrid capacity based in Vancouver. This temporary role focuses on volunteer management and community preparedness initiatives.

With a minimum of three years in volunteer management or related fields, you will oversee the onboarding and supervision of volunteers. Your leadership in executing personal disaster assistance services will ensure effective response during emergencies. You will also strengthen community resilience through partnerships and preparedness activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement volunteer connection strategies and mentor volunteers

• Ensure compliance and readiness for Personal Disaster Assistance

• Coordinate emergency response plans and risk reduction activities

• Manage PDA supplies and systems effectively

• Support operational workforce planning during emergencies

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the field

• Knowledge of community preparedness and emergency management principles

• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities

• Proven experience in volunteer recruitment and training

• Willingness to work flexible hours during emergencies

Lead critical emergency response initiatives while building community partnerships at the Canadian Red Cross.
