Job Description:Reporting to the Executive Director, Online and Professional Training, the Manager of Online Student Experience is responsible for providing academic leadership in the management and execution of initiatives related to online student academic advising, onboarding, early interventions and academic success.
The incumbent will be required to participate and collaborate on cross-college initiatives and working groups. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that student success and retention activities are aligned to fulfil College and Campus goals. Serving as a key representative and advocate for online student success in part-time, full-time and alternative programming, the incumbent acts as a key liaison for internal stakeholders when implementing college retention initiatives in online programming.
The incumbent provides overall management and leadership in the areas of research and analy tics , providing succinct reporting on student communications to guide student experience efforts . The incumbent oversees the planning, development, collection, analysis and interpretation of quality and experiential information to support evidence-based decision making.
The incumbent is responsible for managing, and scheduling the front-line team, the operations team, and the student success team.
The incumbent, working closely with the Dean of AC Online, the Academic Managers, and the Manager, AC Online Studio is accountable for the planning, development and monitoring of effective and sustainable online student retention and academic success strategies . The incumbent oversees the development of in-depth reports based on industry trends and educational program growth opportunities. The Manager, Operations and Analytics is responsible for monitoring and reviewing reports and providing analy sis on the success of a variety of student and departmental focused initiatives.
This position also manages third-party suppliers in the planning, commissioning and management of research, database development, writing and communications. The Manager oversees and approves the communications to AC Online current and prospective students . The incumbent is required to plan, implement, measure and report on pilot projects to improve retention.
- 4 year degree in Education, Business Leadership , Communications or related field;
- Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in increasingly responsible roles;
- Minimum of five (5) years of direct management experience;
- Demonstrated experience with project management, including managing time, establishing priorities, distributing responsibilities, identifying and mitigating risks, and meeting milestones and deliverables;
- Experienced in negotiating with clients, vendors, contractors, peer College representatives, and others;
- Proven business acumen, financial planning and management skills, and demonstrated entrepreneurial experience;
- Experience dealing with clients, faculty/facilitators/trainers and administrators in a post-secondary institution or in a corporate setting;
- Coordinated multiple and diverse activities, oftentimes with competing priorities and leveraging shared resources;
- Experience with case management systems;
- Experience in data analytics and reporting;
- Demonstrated commitment to student success, teaching excellence, quality education, and continuous improvement, preferably in online learning environments;
- Experience in dealing with Student Issues and/or Academic Integrity.
