The Facility Manager is accountable for the operational performance, safety, and cost efficiency of a regional portfolio of veterinary hospitals. This role ensures facilities are reliable, compliant, and fit for purpose, enabling clinical teams to focus on patient care while protecting company assets and controlling operating expenses.

Acting as the day‑to‑day facilities lead for the region, the Facility Manager partners closely with Hospital Managers, Regional Leadership, and the Corporate Facilities team to plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance, repair, and improvement activities across multiple locations. The role oversees preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, landlord coordination, and select capital and refresh projects, with an emphasis on minimizing downtime, standardizing solutions, and delivering measurable cost savings across facility spend.

The Facility Manager is expected to actively manage vendors and service partners, including sourcing, scoping, negotiating pricing, and holding contractors accountable for quality, safety, and timelines. A strong understanding of basic MEP systems—HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and life‑safety systems is required to accurately diagnose issues, validate repair recommendations, challenge unnecessary scope, and ensure cost‑effective solutions. This role does not require deep engineering expertise, but does require sound technical judgment and the confidence to manage technical trades.

Experience supporting medical office, clinical, or hospital treatment environments is a strong plus. The Facility Manager understands the operational sensitivities of veterinary hospitals, including treatment space functionality, infection control considerations, equipment uptime, and the need to perform work with minimal disruption to clinical operations.

The role contributes directly to OPEX reduction initiatives through vendor consolidation, pricing discipline, preventative maintenance optimization, and repeatable repair standards.

Success in this role requires strong ownership, disciplined follow‑through, and the ability to manage multiple sites in parallel within a fast‑moving, growth‑oriented organization. The Facility Manager plays a critical role in delivering safe, consistent, and cost‑effective hospital environments that support clinical excellence and scalable operations.
