Team Leader Crop Claims Operations

The purpose of this role is to oversee the processing of crop claims. This role involves driving continuous improvement of claim best practices, processes, procedures, training materials to drive optimal outcomes, and ensure timely and accurate management of claims.

Ramsey, MN – Woodland, CA – Council Bluffs, IA - Topeka, KS – Missoula, MT – Fargo, ND – Eau Claire, WI

Work Arrangement:
This position will be remote unless candidates are within 50 miles of an NAU office.

The salary range for this role is:
Ramsey, MN ($64,000.00 - $96,000), Council Bluffs, IA ($64,000 - $96,000), Topeka, KS ($64,000 - $96,000), Missoula, MT ($64,000 - $96,000), Fargo, ND ($64,000 - $96,000), Eau Clarie, WI ($64,000 - $96,000), Woodland, CA ($70,500 - $105,500)

Your New Role
  • Direct thorough investigation of submitted claims by collaborating with and supporting team to ensure all work is accurate and handled appropriately to comply with regulatory requirements, efficiently and effectively meet business and customer needs and achieve target metrics.
  • Ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively by managing and monitoring claims-related escrow finances, adhere to business and industry standards and implement industry best practices.
  • Ensure correct and efficient customer solutions by collaborating and supporting team in decision-making to foster partnered approach and effective claims handling.
  • Provide requested information to key stakeholders in order to comply with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Lead on-boarding and development activities for team by sharing technical knowledge, recommending solutions to complex, escalated issues, train on department process and procedures and demonstrate application of best practices to assist in development of team.
  • Recognize, research, recommend, and implement solutions to gaps in processes, communications, and training.
  • Attend regular team meetings, training sessions, and workshops to build foundational marketing knowledge.
Required Qualifications
  • Tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a claims environment within a specialized/complex claims area
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex situations
Compensation Package

The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
