DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
This position directs Unemployment Compensation (UC) operations by overseeing claimant and employer service functions, reviewing procedures, and ensuring daily workflow supports statewide goals. It plays a central role in guiding staff, improving processes, and maintaining high quality across UC operations. As an Unemployment Compensation Executive 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Operations Leadership:
Direct staff across claimant and employer services to support UC processing - Program Oversight:
Manage functions such as wage record maintenance, claim adjustments, and employer account actions - Training Development:
Ensure training programs and operating procedures remain current and effective - Quality Monitoring:
Review performance measures to maintain high quality and strong customer responsiveness - Policy Guidance:
Interpret UC law to establish procedures and recommend needed changes - Project Coordination:
Participate in modernization efforts and support system improvements across UC Operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours may vary based on operational needs.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the required probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

- Six years of responsible administrative or staff experience including three years in a public employment security agency in the area of unemployment compensation or a closely related program within or outside government service, and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which provides the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
