About the RoleThe Regional Vice President of Operations oversees the operations, finance, and management of multiple surgical facilities in a region. Responsible for ensuring facilities in the region meet or exceed performance targets, including financial performance, metrics for clinical quality, patient satisfaction, case growth, and operational excellence. Provides leadership to facility administrators, and works closely with medical staff, physician partners, and company personnel to implement company policies and programs to support the operations of existing facilities.
Works closely with development team and other company personnel to grow company’s business presence and reputation in the region.
- Accountable for creating an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the organizations mission, vision, and values.
- Leads development, implementation, and communication of business plans and strategies for each facility in the region.
- Ensure the company quality metrics are achieved through sound processes consistent with accreditation and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Recruit physicians and staff in targeted specialty areas, coordinate medical staff participation in new facility ventures and targets, develop new service lines.
- Develop positive relationships with local industry, local government, potential key health care providers, and the public.
- Lead monthly operating review to review facility performance and ensure there are plans to sustain performance that exceeds targets, and to improve performance that falls short of targets.
- Partners with the Human Resources and other home office departments to hire, orient, train, evaluate, and develop facility leaders. Ensure that there are succession plans for key positions, and that we are actively sourcing and enhancing the level of talent in the region.
- Promote company’s compliance program and initiatives with all facilities and employees.
- Set clear goals and expectations; provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Develop talent through mentoring, training, and career development initiatives.
- Promote a collaborative and engaging work environment that aligns with company values.
- Manage conflict and make timely decisions to maintain team focus and performance.
- Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations.
- Approve timecards, schedules, time‑off requests, and other administrative HR functions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Proven ability, experience, and a strong knowledge base in working effectively with employees, colleagues, medical staff, and patients.
