The Field Service Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Salt Lake City, UT, with some flexibility for work-from-home. This role oversees field service operations (Utah and Colorado), ensuring timely and safe collection, handling, and delivery of medical waste solutions to healthcare customers. The Field Service Manager will coordinate and lead field service teams, manage schedules and routes, monitor performance, and support compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include resolving service issues, building strong customer relationships, optimizing operational efficiency, and collaborating with internal departments to improve processes and service quality. The role also involves training team members, enforcing health and safety protocols, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that support Daniels Health’s mission of safer healthcare.
- Experience in field service or operations management, preferably within healthcare, environmental services, logistics, or related industries.
- Skills in team leadership, coaching, and performance management, with the ability to motivate and guide field staff.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities, including route planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of safety practices, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards relevant to medical or hazardous waste handling.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills for working with customers, internal teams, and external partners.
- Comfort with using technology and data for reporting, tracking service metrics, and improving operational efficiency.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site field presence in Salt Lake City, UT with remote administrative and coordination tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; willingness to visit customer sites regularly.
- High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics, or a related field is beneficial.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced, safety-critical situations.
