The Finance Manager is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Boulder, CO, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees day‑to‑day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting to support strategic decision‑making. The Finance Manager will manage accounts payable and receivable, monitor project and contract financials, and ensure accurate, timely month‑end and year‑end closings. They will develop and maintain financial controls, support compliance with relevant regulations, and collaborate with leadership to create financial models and metrics aligned with organizational goals.
The role includes partnering with internal teams to analyze financial performance, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting the operational sustainability of Coleman Associates’ mission‑driven work.
- Candidates should possess strong financial management skills such as budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in accounting operations, including managing accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis and planning, including variance analysis, cost analysis, and development of financial models and KPIs.
- Candidates should possess skills related to compliance and risk management, including familiarity with GAAP, audit preparation, and financial controls.
- Candidates should possess skills in using financial and productivity software (e.g., Excel or other spreadsheet tools, accounting systems, and reporting platforms).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
- Experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably in healthcare, consulting, or mission‑driven organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to communicate complex financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborate with remote team members, and align financial practices with organizational values and goals.
