The Security Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of physical security technology deployments for new project sites. This role manages third-party consultants and vendors through installation and commissioning, develops project plans and forecasts, and ensures security systems are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company standards.

The Security Operations Manager provides lifecycle ownership of security technology assets—from planning and deployment through project closeout, decommissioning, redeployment, and replacement planning. The role maintains visibility into security equipment inventory and asset life cycles while helping ensure new projects leverage current, effective, and supportable security technologies.

Location

This is a full time in-office role located in Omaha, NE. Relocation assistance may be offered for this role. This role requires travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

Security Systems Deployment & Project Leadership

  • Lead deployment of physical security technologies for new project sites from planning through commissioning and turnover.
  • Coordinate consultants, integrators, vendors, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Define project scope, milestones, expectations, and communication plans.
  • Manage project risks and resolve issues to maintain schedule and quality.

Project Planning, Forecasting & Schedule Management

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deployment forecasts.
  • Track progress and ensure stakeholders meet key deliverables.
  • Anticipate procurement, equipment, and site readiness challenges.
  • Provide updates on project status, schedules, risks, and forecasts.

Budget Planning & Cost Management

  • Develop budgets and forecasts for security technology deployments and equipment.
  • Monitor spending and support financial planning.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities through standardization, asset reuse, and lifecycle planning.

Technology Standards & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure projects utilize reliable, supportable, and company‑approved security technologies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions.
  • Maintain deployment standards and implementation best practices.

Asset Inventory & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage inventory processes for deployed, stored, reusable, and end‑of‑life security assets.
  • Track asset condition, age, useful life, and replacement needs.
  • Forecast equipment demand based on project pipeline and inventory availability.
  • Support capital planning and informed purchasing decisions through lifecycle management.

Project Closeout & Equipment Disposition

  • Lead technology decommissioning and project closeout activities.
  • Coordinate equipment removal, transfer, storage, reuse, recycling, or disposal.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and incorporate lessons learned into future deployments.
