First Call Group Role:
Integration Project Manager

Location:

Texas, [Flexible / Home-based] with significant travel to acquired locations (est. 50–75% during active integrations)
Who We Are First Call  Group is a national commercial HVAC and mechanical services platform built on strong local brands. We partner with strong local brands to build durable partnerships with our teams and our customers, ensuring our customers’ facilities are taken care of at the highest level. We grow two ways: organically and by acquiring excellent local businesses and creating a network where the whole is greater than the sum of our parts.

That’s where you come in.

The Role We are hiring Integration Project Managers to ensure our new partners have a successful transition to becoming successful First Call operating companies as a part of our national network. The Integration Project Manager owns the year 1 transition plan; working shoulder-to-shoulder with the acquired leadership team, the Regional VP who the acquired business reports to, and the Head of Integration who owns the playbook.

What makes this role different?

You own the whole integration process. From close through year 1, you’re leading the process that turns our new acquisitions into true First Call operating partners. Success is visible and measurable.

You work alongside owners. Founders who just sold their life’s work, RVPs with P&L ownership, and platform executives. You’ll ensure integration efforts work towards a strategic end, not just a tactical one.

You’re building the machine. Our integration is a repeatable operating system that still honors the unique strengths and needs of each business we acquire. As we continue to sharpen our approach, your field experience will shape the playbook.

What You’ll Own Project Leadership: own the year 1 lifecycle for new partners, from pre-close planning, administrative integration, cultural integration, operating integration and project close.

Playbook Design: translate diligence findings into the integration project plan that combines our repeatable approach with the unique needs of the partnership

Stabilization:
Partner with functional owners to implement back-office integration across payroll, benefits, finance, safety, insurance, fleet, and IT in the first 100 days; plugging new partners into the support we offer swiftly and smoothly

Strategy Building: work with operations leadership to benchmark 3-year goals, SWOT analysis, hot-button issues, and commercial handoff planning.

Operations and Cultural Transition:
Create the plan for days 100-365, where cultural integration, value-creation opportunities, and commercial activation take shape.

KPI Vigilance:
Tracking retention across technicians, leaders, and customers against baselines, and tackling risks early to ensure deal value stays strong

Meaningful Closeout: formally close the integration project at Month 12; planning for unresolved items, documenting lessons learned, and transitioning ownership cleanly.
