The OpportunityThe Manager, Disaster Services Operations manages operations and projects that enhance Feeding America's role before, during, and after disasters in alignment with enterprise strategy. In partnership with the Director, Disaster Services and Manager, Disaster Preparedness, this position fulfills cross-functional disaster operations, response coordination, network member engagement, program administration and other duties as assigned to ensure effective planning, disaster response, and continuous operational improvement.
The role applies operational experience, continuous learning, and member feedback to inform disaster planning, improve disaster operations, and strengthen Disaster Services resources that support more effective disaster response. Success in this role requires balancing project management, operational coordination, executive communications, facilitation, relationship management, and administrative excellence to advance Disaster Services priorities and deliver exceptional support to Feeding America network members.

As such, we maintain transparent salary ranges and clearly defined practices for how our team, including new hire salary offers, moves through these ranges. You can expect us to offer the best salary up front based on these clearly defined pay practices with little room for negotiation.
We make exceptions for highly experienced (multiple years of at-level experience) new hires in accordance with our pay practices. Once hired, employees have the opportunity to progress through salary ranges via regular merit increases and step promotions.
Salary Range: $87,941 - $92,941 Based on Experience.

Responsibilities Program Management & Network Member Engagement (Blue Sky)- Supports the Director with project management by coordinating the implementation of Disaster Services priorities and projects across internal Feeding America departments, food banks, state associations, regional coops and external partners, including meeting facilitation, executive support, and tracking deliverables, timelines, and action items.
- Develops and maintains presentations, reports, dashboards, and communications that support Disaster Services projects and stakeholder engagement, including for executive level audiences.
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings, workshops, webinars, planning sessions, and collaborative discussions by preparing agendas, documenting decisions, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Coordinates operational planning activities that support disaster readiness before incidents occur, including maintaining implementation plans, operational resources and trainings, documentation, program management tools, and incident command structure education.
- Manages the Disaster Services pre-staging product program, including coordination with pre-staging locations, maintaining visibility of available inventory and storage capacity, supporting inventory audits and rotation, and coordinating the positioning, deployment, replenishment, and tracking of pre-staged disaster resources in partnership with Supply Chain and network members.
- Maintains Disaster Services files and documentation, SharePoint/Hunger Net resources, databases, SOPs, playbooks, templates, operational guidance, and other program management tools and resources.
