About The DepartmentThe Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid is a student-centered, service-oriented unit responsible for administering more than $400 million in scholarships and financial aid annually to more than 25,000 students. The Office serves as the university’s central authority for determining eligibility and administering federal Title IV, state, and institutional financial aid programs for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Through its work, the Office supports the university’s commitment to access, affordability, and student success.

Job Duties
Reporting to the Senior Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the Associate Vice Provost and Director of Scholarships and Financial Aid provides strategic and operational leadership for the university’s comprehensive financial aid and scholarship enterprise. Leading a large and complex operation, the position shapes institutional approaches to financial aid, affordability, and student support while ensuring effective stewardship of university resources and compliance with federal and state requirements.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to university and division leadership, translating policy, data, and emerging trends into strategies that advance enrollment, affordability, student success, and institutional priorities. You will shape financial aid policies and awarding methodologies, guide continuous improvement across operations and technology, and lead a high-performing team committed to service, collaboration, professional growth, and operational excellence.
KeyAreas of Responsibility Strategic Leadership & Institutional Advising
- Advise university and Enrollment Management leadership on financial aid policies and strategies affecting enrollment, affordability, student success, and institutional resources.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic priorities for Enrollment Management and Services.
- Establish financial aid packaging methodologies and oversee federal, state, private, and institutional financial aid programs.
