This position provides leadership for the development, growth, and delivery of workforce training programs supporting the
nuclear industry, Nuclear Quality Assurance/Quality Control (NQA/QA/QC), and civil construction
. The Program Manager works closely with industry partners, employers, subject matter experts, instructors, and College leadership to identify workforce needs and develop responsive, high-quality training solutions.

The Program Manager is responsible for assigned program areas from concept through delivery, including industry engagement, curriculum and course development, instructor recruitment and management, scheduling, budgeting, program performance, and continuous improvement. This position will play a key role in expanding College of Eastern Idaho's workforce training presence in industries that are critical to the economic growth of eastern Idaho and the region.

The position requires a strong understanding of industry expectations and the ability to build trusted relationships with employers and technical experts.

The Program Manager ensures training is relevant, accessible, financially sustainable, and aligned with applicable industry standards, quality expectations, and employer requirements.

This position has been identified as being capable of performing job duties in a hybrid work setting (Hybrid refers to a blend of work performed at a CEI facility and remotely during any given work week).

This is a grant-funded position and is contingent upon available funding.

Program Manager Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide leadership and management for assigned workforce training programs, with primary responsibility for nuclear, NQA/QA/QC, and civil construction training.
  • Develop and grow industry-relevant programs, courses, certifications, and customized training in response to regional workforce needs and emerging industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, nuclear industry partners, contractors, laboratories, government entities, and other stakeholders to identify workforce needs and training opportunities.
  • Research, design, develop, and implement industry-relevant courses, certifications, customized training, and other workforce solutions.
