Resp & Qualifications Purpose
The individual will plan, organize, and manage small to mid-scale projects for successful delivery of objectives, on time and within budget. And will continue to be responsible for the results long term. Initiates, engages, and motivates cross-functional teams to deliver results. Identifies and mitigates risk and escalates as needed. Tracks progress and drives documentation to support project needs. Ensures end to end leadership for implementations, integration, business readiness and communications.
The team member will work on the FEP Health Services Liaison team. It's a small but very impactful team; directly impacting the divisions PIP and QAP goals. It requires regular interactions with operations, technical and health services Quality and Case Management teams. They should be able to lead a clinical pilot from inception to execution working closely with the Association and the vendor.
In the FEP division, this role is the primary contact between the Association, and anything related to health services functions, which could include escalations from the Association and some coordination in the provider network space.
- Plans and designates project resources, prepares budgets, monitors progress, tracks schedules, mitigates risks for FEP health services related projects.
- Provides end to end project management support in terms of reporting, project deliverable tracking and documentation for medium-size projects. Acts as a liaison across all areas to ensure effective and efficient goals, scope, progress, and completion of projects. Coordinates issues throughout Care First, and externally when necessary, to promote accurately represented information.
- Evaluates implications of existing or proposed projects, programs, processes, and policies/regulations through the use of critical and creative thinking and recommends improvements.
- Provides direction and motivation to project teams in a matrixed environment. Drives outcomes by fostering a collaborative culture. Manages relationships with key stakeholders, including management and vendors. Leads the execution of the project.
This position has no direct reports, however, may informally lead teams in a matrix environment.
QualificationsEducation Level: Bachelor's Degree Project Management, Business or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience:
3 years experience in project related field
- Prior experience in FEP.
- Deep understanding of Care First FEP Health Services liaison functions. Experience in FEP health services data. Understanding of submitting FEP clinical pilots to the Association.
Skills and Abilities

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Ability to exercise good judgment.
- Project planning and life cycle development.
- Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
