Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in managing the financial activities of the organization, overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making for the group. This position involves leading a team of accountants and collaborating with other departments to maintain accurate financial records and achieve organizational goals.

Zero Impact Energy is an end-to-end Renewable Energy provider. We offer products to commercial and enterprise clients in EV Charging solutions, Fleet Electrification, Solar Microgrids, and Energy storage. We have been experiencing tremendous growth in all these areas. Our company handles the entire flow of providing these products and services beginning with Sales, Provisioning, Design and Engineering, Contracting and Construction, Servicing and Maintenance.

Job responsibilities include managing and developing a team of accountants, managing AP, AR and bookkeeping priorities, ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, ensuring the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, ensuring the year-end audit is clean and timely, ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely manner, supporting the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities, supporting budget and forecasting activities, advising staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions, responding to inquiries from the CEO, Dr.

of Finance, and other finance and company managers regarding financial results, and special reporting requests, monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy as well as assisting in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department, providing training to new and existing staff as needed, and supporting management with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Qualifications include a BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in accounting, construction or manufacturing accounting experience preferred, experience in navigating through complex technical accounting matters is a must, prior experience managing general ledger and accrual accounting, and current CPA license preferred.

Requirements include being PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced workplace, strong experience with Microsoft Excel and general AI tools, strong verbal and written communication skills and organization skills, strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills required, ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines required, strong knowledge of federal and state laws required, strong understanding of GAAP and tax law required, strong work ethic and confidentiality skills required.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, typing, and writing; reaching with hands and arms, bending, standing on a stool or climbing, and using fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls; use standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, printers, photocopiers; prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; lift files and open desk drawers and filing cabinets.
