The Opportunity

Field project controls manager position located at the project site in Beech Island, South Carolina. The project is a lump sum EPC project consisting of a 1 x 0 GE F‑class dual fuel simple cycle combustion turbine with hot selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology. The plant will have a nominal capacity of 190MW. This position has supervisory/lead responsibility over a group of project controls personnel or functions as a technical specialist who develops advanced concepts.

Responsible for overall performance management.
May be responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Key Responsibilities

Manages a diverse team of professionals and able to achieve successful results and able to function as a technical specialist developing advanced concepts. May be responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of others.
Cost:

Leads cost control team
Addresses contractual requirements related to cost control

Planning/Scheduling:

Leads planning and schedule preparation on more complex projects including startup planning.
Addresses contractual requirements related to schedule control.
As required by the business unit, expert in scheduling forensics.

PJC Management:

Recognizes critical issues and interfaces.
Confers with PM team on project execution matters.
Participates in key risk management discussions.
Participates in and may lead any potential claims issues.
Manages controls functions from home office to site as appropriate.
Supervises subcontract administration when assigned.
As applicable ensures compliance with tools/processes in Field Project Controls Manual.
As applicable ensures startup planning is at the appropriate level of detail.
Collaborates with the project management leadership team to ensure project success.
