DESCRIPTION OF WORK
- Statewide Oversight:
Manage administrative and quality assurance functions across all Youth Development Centers and Youth Forestry Camps - Strategic Planning:
Develop long‑term plans that guide administrative procedures and support mission goals - Policy Guidance:
Provide direction for policy, program development, and staff training to ensure compliance with laws and standards - Process Evaluation:
Review operational methods and recommend improvements that strengthen efficiency and accountability - Resource Management:
Advise leadership on budget, staffing, and material needs to support effective operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30‑minute lunch.
- The work location will be determined by the nearest DHS/BJJS work location closest in proximity to the selected candidates county of residence, which includes Butler, Dauphin, Franklin, Huntingdon, Luzerne, Montgomery, Montour, or Perry.

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

- Seven years of professional behavioral health, correctional or juvenile justice experience which includes three years of experience supervising professional employees; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes three years of experience supervising professional behavioral health, correctional or juvenile justice employees.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
