Role Overview :

To lead Uniphar Development’s program management and planning activities. The Senior Director of Program Management and Planning (PMP) is responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies for program management across the company. The Senior Director of PMP is responsible for establishing program management policies and procedures to align with corporate and partner strategic direction. Serves as a Line Manager for Program Managers and other program management personnel.

The Senior Director of PMP also serves as a Program Manager and assists Partners with their drug development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develops and implements standard “best practices” procedures, processes, and guidelines for program/project management.

Serves as advisor to other project management staff; provides project management training.

Assigns project work and reviews workload for all direct reports. Supervises staff by assisting them with their responsibilities, when necessary, by establishing goals that will increase knowledge and skill levels, and by delegating tasks commensurate with skill level.

Serves as a project manager of large, long-term, complex projects.

Monitors and coordinates the efforts of project teams, and day-to-day operations.

Oversees multiple functional areas and vendors involved in a project.

Forecasts budgets (actual vs. projected) on a periodic basis that includes information provided by vendors.

Contributes to contract and budget re-negotiation efforts. Manages changes in scope on contracts as necessary.

Tracks the contractual and financial project progress against contract milestones or completed units.

Prepares, maintains, and manages the master integrated timeline for a program or study.
