Color/Materials Developer
Location:
Beaverton, Oregon (Hybrid: onsite Mon-Thursday and can work from home on Fridays)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Color/Materials Developer. This role is essential for covering a leave of absence and will focus on the technical color development for footwear materials. The successful candidate will work closely with the Color Development and Materials Development teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical color development for footwear materials is required, including textiles, leathers, polymers, or printing. - Technical
Skills: - Proficiency in color development for footwear materials.
- Completion of a color acuity test, such as the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test, with a superior score for color vision.
- Ability to interpret color reading reports.
- Experience measuring color with a Spectrophotometer and reviewing color in a light box.
- Familiarity with Smartsheets and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Material or product development experience with a focus on color development.
- Experience working with color lab dips, working in a color lab, or conducting digital and visual color research.
- Previous industry experience is preferred.
