Job Description We are hiring a Materials Management Associate for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a Materials Management Associate, you will be responsible for performing set-up tasks, monitoring the equipment, and troubleshooting on our Core Publishing Solutions team. For this role, you would also be eligible for a bonus of $2,500 upon being in the role for 90 days.

Hours of Work
* 3rd shift – 10:30 pm – 6:30 am
* Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts##

Key Responsibilities
* Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirements
* Performing set-up tasks
* Monitoring the equipment and product quality; obtaining maintenance support for equipment as needed
* Performing simple to moderately complex troubleshooting related to product or equipment
* Communicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-off
* Evaluating mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventative maintenance
* Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files
* Accurately documenting activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), including material usage and equipment issues
* Performing feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, or physical inventory cycle count activities
* Actively participating in company safety programs and contributing to a safe culture
* Meeting or exceeding established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work procedures
* Generating, implementing, and sustaining continuous improvement ideas
* Participating in project teams as needed
* Providing backup for other operators to cover absences or breaks
* Recommending and implementing process improvements##

Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma/GED or higher
* Good mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and work independently and as part of a team to resolve issues
* Knowledge of Lean concepts and continuous improvement
* Competent with rulers and measurement
* Good communication skills
* Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders
* Can regularly lift at least 5 lbs above the shoulder, and push, pull, and lift at least 10 lbs occasionally up to 50 lbs
* Can regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, and kneel
* Can wear Personal Protective Equipment including steel toe shoes and ear protection##

Preferred Qualifications
* Vocational or technical degree
* Experience on Perfect Binders with up to 40 station collators, 3-knife trimmers, inline boxing, and palletizing
* Experience with hard-cover casing-in lines
* Experience with collating/kitting lines with up to 30 stream feeder stations
* Experience with packaging/cartooning lines
* Experience with Sitma mail lines
* Experience with Aster sewing equipment
* Experience with hot foil stampers#LI-CB1
