Position: Aerospace 5‑Axis Mazak Mill‑Turn Machinist

Indianapolis, IN | Temp-to-Hire | All Shifts Compensation: $27–$34 per hour (DOE) + shift differentialA day in your role

You start your shift at a spotless Mazak 5-axis mill/turn, reviewing travelers and prints for a titanium ring, 52 inches in diameter. You load heat-shrink tooling, touch off with a probing cycle, dial in work and tool offsets, and single-block your way through a new program using distance-to-go to validate every motion. Mid-run, you verify critical features with precision metrology, tweak feeds to quiet chatter in Inconel, and collaborate with Programming to tighten a cycle.

By shift end, you’ve delivered aerospace hardware that hits spec the first time, every time—safely and on schedule.

What you will handle

Set up and run large Mazak 5-axis mill/turn machining centers

Produce precision aerospace parts 35 –65  in diameter in titanium, Inconel, stainless, and other alloys

Interpret blueprints, routers, and manufacturing documentation to plan work Establish work coordinates, home positions, and tool offsets with indicators and probing

Prove out new and existing CNC programs using single-block and distance-to-go verification

Use Haimer heat-shrink tooling and Speroni tool measurement systems

Troubleshoot, adjust, and optimize machining to maintain throughput and part quality

Partner with Engineering/Programming on process improvements and NPI activities

Comply with aerospace quality systems, procedures, and all safety requirements

Keep your cell organized, clean, and audit-ready

What you bring3–6+ years of CNC machining, including complex setup experience

Fluency in reading blueprints, GD&T, routers, and manufacturing docs Hands-on machining of titanium, Inconel, stainless, or similarly tough materials

Strong troubleshooting and root-cause skills; able to work with minimal supervision

Proficiency with precision measurement and inspection tools

Deep understanding of machining principles and tight-tolerance manufacturingU.S. Citizenship required

Able to lift at least 25 lbs Where you’ll stand out Mazak controls/machinery experience5-axis mill/turn background in aerospace

Knowledge of G and M codes; experience proving out new CNC programs

Familiarity with Haimer heat-shrink and Speroni presetting equipment

Machining Technology certificate or related trade credential

Lean/Continuous Improvement experience
