Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (Specialty) Daylight 4x10's to join our team in Middlesex, NC!

This is a daylight position that will work 4, 10-hour shifts from 6 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday. Additional overtime may exceed these hours at times based on business needs.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.47 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Machine Operator (Specialty) is responsible for setting up and operating wire-winders, yarn winders and braiders to provide a braid on the Teflon hoses. They primarily are working with Aerospace product.

• Herzog Yarn Winder In this role, you will:
• Move materials and carriers based on work order and set up sheets to work station
• Set up braider: string up carriers, loading carriers onto braiders, pull wire from carrier to hook, feed hose into the braider, set up layline printer
• Operate and maintain ultrasonic cleaner
• Complete quality checks on braided hose, this includes pick counts, outer diameter and inner diameter checks and lay line verification
• Place braided hose in crats
• Strip and set-up winders, be able to perform daily maintenance on wire winder which includes tension checks, roller checks and break pad changes etc.
• Operate oven to bake wire
• Proof test samples of finished hose
• Move wire or yarn from storage to work area based on router and work order
• Use over head hoist to lift spools of wire onto wire winders
• Pull catenary to ensure wire meets specified quality standards
• Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area.
• Produce a quality product, safely, on-time, and with the least cost possible.
• Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings. Accurately record data on process travelers.
• Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.).
• Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, CI events, etc.
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices
• Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
• Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Culture Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
