Role DescriptionThe Account Executive is an impactful storyteller, generating meaningful media placements for their assigned accounts. They are an integral part of their team, providing support through key account service tasks, including but not limited to, media tracking and research, copy writing and editing, crafting materials, reporting and analyzing data, and general office and client support. Other tasks may include coordinating event logistics, executing strategic media outreach, coordinating mailings and assembling other materials.
The Account Executive must be a self‑starter and multi‑tasker, and must excel at time management, attention to detail and being responsive to internal and external staff and clients.
- Proactively contribute creatively and strategically to projects.
- Consistently demonstrate ability to successfully move into problem‑solving mode whenever challenges or concerns arise.
- Work well with and demonstrate respect for colleagues at all levels and consistently contribute to a positive work environment.
- Identify and execute successful media relations outreach.
- Compile media clips for clients and regularly identify opportunities for clients to strengthen their position by responding to select clips or other additional media opportunities.
- Be able to successfully analyze data and results to create impactful reports.
- Coordinate event logistics, proactively thinking through all pieces of an event and taking first pass at presenting team lead with best‑recommended action plan for facilitating a seamless event.
- Research media to show a solid understanding of the media landscape as well as understanding of the client’s goals and industry and how they are looking to be positioned in the media.
- Consistently meet project deadlines as set by team lead.

- Must have a bachelor’s degree, ideally in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or business.
- Must have 2‑3 years full‑time office experience.
- Knowledge of current events and media landscape.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of PR tools including Cision, Sprinklr, Muck Rack, Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote, and other social media trackers is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in team structure.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast‑paced office; strong communications media skills, etc.
- This is a full‑time role working from our Providence office Monday – Thursday with work from home days on Fridays. Work hours may vary outside of the 9‑5 schedule based on client needs. Day and overnight travel will be required.
