Employment Type: Part-Time (8-10 hours per week increasing to 15-20 as we approach grand opening in March/April 2026)

United Defense Tactical is a leading provider of reality-based firearms and self-defense training, offering programs from fundamentals to advanced tactical skills, combatives, and immersive simulations. Our mission is to empower the Atlanta community with practical self-protection skills, building confidence and safety for individuals, families, and businesses. We’re seeking a creative and strategic social media expert to help grow our local presence and attract prospective members interested in firearms training, self-defense classes, and membership programs.

• Develop and execute a content calendar tailored to promote training classes, events, memberships, and safety tips, aligning with our brand’s focus on realistic defense scenarios.
• Create engaging content including posts, stories, reels, videos, and graphics that highlight training sessions, student success stories, and industry insights.
• Manage day-to-day operations on selected social media platforms, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and fostering community engagement.
• Monitor performance metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, conversions) and provide monthly reports with recommendations to optimize strategies for lead generation.
• Collaborate with the franchise team to capture on-site content, such as photos and videos from classes or simulations, while adhering to safety and privacy guidelines.
• Stay updated on social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in the tactical training and self-defense niche to drive membership growth.

• Proven experience (2+ years) in social media management, preferably in fitness, wellness, or related fields; knowledge of firearms or self-defense topics is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software) and analytics platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics).
• Strong writing and communication skills with an ability to craft compelling, audience-appropriate messaging.
• Familiarity with paid social advertising and SEO principles to boost visibility.
• Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity, with flexibility for evenings or weekends as needed for timely posts.
• Must be based in or near Atlanta, GA, for occasional in-person collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred but not required.
