Our client is hiring a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join their fast-paced, collaborative team on a permanent basis.

In this role, you’ll lead content creation efforts, drive community engagement, and help shape the organization’s brand voice. You’ll take ownership of initiatives like website updates, newsletters, social media posts, and marketing analytics—all while contributing to broader strategy and outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

Marketing & Communications

  • Create and distribute weekly newsletters to the business community and general public.
  • Develop engaging content for social media (Facebook, Linked In, etc.), using Canva to design posts and graphics.
  • Respond to emails, messages, and comments across public-facing channels in a timely, professional manner.
  • Support campaign strategy and execution, bringing forward creative, data-informed ideas.
  • Website & Digital Content

  • Maintain and update website content, including business listings, blog posts, and event calendars.
  • Liaise with web developers for backend updates and improvements.
  • Ensure all digital content aligns with current marketing initiatives.
  • Community & Business Engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for new businesses—building relationships and reaching out via social media.
  • Keep the Mailchimp database accurate and up to date; manage regular email communications.
  • Represent the organization at events and through ongoing outreach—building a strong community presence.
  • Analytics & Strategy

  • Track and analyze marketing performance to optimize campaigns.
  • Stay current on marketing trends and contribute to strategy development.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director as a creative, proactive partner on key initiatives.
  • Education:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of years’ experience in a marketing and communications role is required.
  • Experience supporting marketing initiatives across multiple clients or stakeholders is preferred and considered a strong asset.
  • Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Passionate about community engagement and relationship building
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and content creation
  • Proficient in Canva, Mailchimp, and social media platforms (Facebook, Linked In, Instagram)
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to interpret and act on marketing data
  • Tech-savvy and confident navigating website content management systems
  • Adaptable, proactive, and solutions-oriented
