Job OverviewThe Content Strategist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing organic content strategies that support each client’s broader marketing and business objectives. This role ensures organic social media is not treated as a standalone tactic, but as an integrated component of the overall marketing strategy—supporting brand awareness, engagement, lead generation, and conversion across the sales funnel.
This position combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. The Content Strategist conducts audience and competitor research, identifies content opportunities, builds data‑informed content plans, and oversees the day‑to‑day execution of organic content across multiple platforms. Coordinating closely with clients and Account Managers, this role translates insights into action—ensuring content delivers measurable value.
The ideal candidate is analytical, creative, and highly organized, with a strong understanding of how organic content drives long‑term brand growth. As a high‑volume agency, C Squared Social requires a strategist who can move quickly, manage multiple accounts, and maintain strategic integrity at scale.
Responsibilities and Duties- Develop organic social media strategies aligned with each client’s overall marketing goals and sales funnel
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify content gaps, differentiation opportunities, and emerging trends
- Analyze audience insights, platform data, and behavioral signals to inform content direction and messaging
- Identify platform‑specific opportunities and recommend content formats that drive engagement and growth
- Schedule, publish, and manage organic content across social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, X, Reddit, Tik Tok, and Pinterest
- Present strategy plans and results to internal teams and clients
- Apply a strong understanding of the sales funnel, supporting the creation of content that drives awareness, consideration, and conversion
- Identify and analyze social media trends, platform updates, and content opportunities to inform ongoing strategy
- Measure, analyze, and optimize organic content performance using platform analytics and reporting tools
- Utilize AI tools to support social content research, ideation, trend analysis, and workflow efficiency
- Communicate professionally with clients via video calls, Slack, and email.
- College Degree in a related field (communication, marketing, business, etc) preferred or applicable work experience.
- 1-2 years professional content experience
- Agency experience preferred
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Collaborative spirit
- Strong time management skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Experience with content management platforms such as Hey Orca and Meta Business Suite
- Experience in Email Marketing preferred
