SummaryThe Marketing Strategic Partner works with marketing and business stakeholders to develop and implement marketing strategies and plans for global marketing campaigns and programs. They advance the Revenue, Relationship and Reputation goals of the company by ensuring effective analysis, planning, development, implementation, measurement, and reporting for the assigned programs. They will have a primary responsibility for advancing FM’s aims in sports sponsor ships, including relationships with Rory McIlroy, the LPGA, Boston Common Golf and others, to maximize investment and explore similar opportunities.
This role activites marketing programs that build awareness of FM as a leading provider of commercial property insurance. It also includes sponsorship activations, events, and marketing programs supporting FM’s insurance business.
This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Johnston, RI. Domestic and international travel is required 10-15% throughout the year. This is a full-time office-based position with flexibility for two remote working days each week based on business needs.
Responsibilities- Lead development and oversee execution of marketing strategy, campaigns and plans, with an emphasis on sports marketing and sponsorship activation.
- Build relationships with Marketing, Client Service, Sales, and Operations peers to ensure collaborative marketing strategies and optimal resource use.
- Ensure all work complies with marketing practices and procedures, brand positioning, and applicable compliance requirements.
- Create and coordinate execution of omnichannel integrated marketing plans across channel partners, including paid media, social, enablement, PR, multimedia, interactive/web, direct mail, events, and brand experience, aligned to audience journeys and ABM plans, working with Sales, Operations, Client Service and others.
- Contribute to management of agency and vendor relationships for the assigned programs.
- Collaborate with local marketing teams to ensure plans are relevant to applicable markets and key accounts.
- Follow established processes to optimize effectiveness, efficiency, creativity, agility and quality of programs and tools for the market and client-facing teams.
- Monitor metrics to measure effectiveness of marketing programs; track, analyze, and report results to optimize impact.
- Demonstrate leadership to influence and align marketing activities for message consistency and superior client experience.
- Develop understanding of client and partner needs and the Client Service and Sales processes to ensure business needs are addressed.
- Ensure projects stay within established budgets and meet objectives.
- Handle other projects within corporate guidelines in collaboration with marketing and communications peers and business unit sponsors.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or Business.
- 5+ years of marketing experience with emphasis on sports marketing or sponsorship activation in a corporate and/or agency setting.
- 8-10 years of progressively responsible positions in a corporate and/or agency setting.
- Experience using groundbreaking media; digital marketing savvy.
- Global experience in a corporate environment.
- Understands the business objectives of assigned campaigns and knows which marketing plans and tactics will support achieving objectives at global and regional levels.
