Position Summary

The Sr. Marketing Manager is responsible for activation, optimization, and experimentation across Walmart’s digital media programs to maximize sales, traffic, customer acquisition, and retention. Channels include Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Display, and Paid Social, with close coordination across Affiliate and SEO teams. This role manages the deployment and optimization of marketing investment to drive the highest possible returns while meeting daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

you'll do
  • Deploy, optimize, experiment, and report on digital marketing campaigns.
  • Manage and optimize marketing investment to drive performance against defined goals.
  • Partner closely with cross‑functional eCommerce, Marketing Strategy, and Media Planning teams to uncover customer insights and advance business objectives.
  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to evaluate best‑in‑class initiatives, trends, and platform capabilities.
  • Provide reporting and data analysis to identify opportunities, solve problems, and communicate key performance trends.
  • Monitor competitive activity and industry best practices; introduce new ideas to improve performance.
  • Work closely with key strategic partners (e.g., Google, Meta, Microsoft) to ensure efficient execution and identify future opportunities.
Functional Competencies
  • 7–10+ years of performance marketing experience building, managing, optimizing, and analyzing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision making.
  • Proven consumer marketing experience with a passion for retail and eCommerce.
  • Structured approach to identifying opportunities, defining solutions, and executing action plans.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet aggressive targets and deadlines.
  • Ability to translate strategy into tactics and ideas into action through strong execution.
  • Excellent business acumen and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other database query languages is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical partners.
  • Comfort presenting in Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews, including to senior marketing leadership.
