The Senior Marketing Manager, Events drives attendance, engagement, and visibility for CLOC’s major events including CGI, flagship regional events, Academy Days, and global programs.
This role is responsible for driving qualified registrations, expanding audience reach, and optimizing performance across paid and owned channels. It works in close partnership with the Events and Learning & Engagement teams on registration pacing, forecasting, campaign planning and programming alignment.
The role contributes to event marketing strategy and owns day-to-day campaign performance, audience targeting, and paid promotion and digital conversion paths.
Key Responsibilities Event Demand & Campaign Leadership- Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for assigned events.
- Support segmentation and targeting strategies by persona, geography, and seniority.
- Drive registration growth through multi-channel campaigns.
- Monitor registration pacing and recommend adjustments to meet targets.
- Manage media application processes for major events, including intake, tracking, approvals, and communication with applicants.
- Update and manage event microsites within the broader website framework.
- Maintain consistent messaging across microsites, email, and paid channels.
- Build and execute email campaigns and automated journeys tied to launch phases and audience personas.
- Test subject lines, page content, and calls to action to improve conversion performance.
- Lead paid acquisition across search, paid social, display, and retargeting.
- Manage budgets and optimize cost per registration.
- Test messaging, audiences, and landing pages to improve conversion.
- Provide regular reporting on campaign performance and ROI.
- Develop and update sponsor-facing sales and marketing materials, including event prospectuses and related collateral.
- Coordinate sponsor and speaker promotion efforts.
- Collaborate with industry partners and aligned associations to extend reach.
- Support cross-promotional campaigns and audience expansion initiatives.

Base Salary range of $90k-110k plus benefits (including 5% 401k safe harbor contribution) and eligibility for bonus compensation up to 10% of base.
Qualifications- 7+ years event marketing experience, ideally in associations large-scale conferences.
- Proven success driving registration for complex, multi-day events.
- Strong experience in paid media and audience targeting.
- Skilled in cross-functional coordination and campaign optimization.
