Associate, Digital Marketing and Community Engagement

Position Description

As Associate, Digital Marketing and Community Engagement at Labshares, your role is to strengthen brand visibility, member engagement, and top-of-funnel growth by executing high-quality marketing and event initiatives. You’ll take the lead on day-to-day marketing operations—managing content creation, social media, and digital campaigns—while also supporting in-person programming that reinforces Labshares’ community-driven culture.

You’ll report to the Director of Growth, while collaborating with the members of the Growth Team to implement key elements of Labshares’ go-to-market strategy—executing on content creation, SEO, digital ads, and member programming. Your work will help elevate Labshares' visibility in the biotech ecosystem, attract qualified prospects, and deliver a best-in-class experience for our member companies.

Position Responsibilities Marketing Execution
  • Own Labshares’ social media calendar and posting on Linked In, including content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking
  • Support graphic design and layout of brochures, flyers, case studies, tour materials, and all other marketing materials
  • Assist in the management and optimization of Labshares’ Google Ads campaigns, including keyword research and performance reporting.
  • Write SEO-optimized blog posts to improve search visibility and support inbound lead generation.
  • Maintain and update website content as needed
  • Coordinate Hub Spot email campaigns and assist in reporting on marketing and web performance metrics.
Community Events & Member Engagement
  • Lead, plan, and execute Labshares’ in-person community-building events such as social events/parties, lunch-and-learns, other educational events, conferences, and other community initiatives that align with business development goals.
  • Conduct our bi-annual Member Survey, compile key metrics, and spearhead the preparation of materials for our bi-annual lab meetings.
  • Manage event logistics, vendor relationships, communications, and post-event follow-up.
  • Assist with coordination, planning, and execution on End-of-Summer Party
Administrative & Project Support
  • Assist with the development of sales collateral, proposals, and promotional materials.
  • Help maintain inventory of printed materials and event supplies.
  • Capture and organize content (e.g., photos from events, testimonials, etc.) for marketing use.
Internal Culture & Leadership
  • Model and reinforce Labshares’ five core values with Members, prospects, partners, and colleagues.
  • Serve as a visible leader and brand ambassador within the organization and to the external community.
  • Contribute to an ambitious, high-trust, collaborative culture.
Qualifications
  • Full-time, on-site role. There is no opportunity for remote work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or related role (biotech/life sciences experience a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating engaging marketing content
  • Proficiency in social media management (especially Linked In) and basic analytics tracking
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Hub Spot, Google Ads, and SEO best practices
  • Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for community engagement and events
  • Creative, proactive, and adaptable approach to problem-solving and execution
