About The Job:Gorilla Energy, a top 10 global energy brand, is disrupting the US energy category. Backed by expertise across various beverage brands, Gorilla Energy is a unique startup with a history of success in delivering great tasting drinks with better for you ingredients, as well as forging strong social and distribution partnerships. Join us as we grow and transform the energy drink market.
We’re looking for a dynamic, culture obsessed Social Media Manager to lead and elevate the social presence of Gorilla Energy.
This is not a corporate, buttoned up brand. Gorilla is bold, raw, and built for people who grind. We show up in the octagon, skate parks, gyms, on the track, at fight nights, at car meets, and on the streets.
You’ll own the day to day social strategy and execution across Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts, and emerging platforms. You’ll help create scroll stopping content, build community, work directly with athletes and influencers, and help define how Gorilla shows up in the U.S. as we scale nationally.
If you’re equal parts creative and operator and you want to build a challenger beverage brand with real momentum, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:- Build and execute Gorilla’s U.S. organic social strategy.
- Develop content pillars across Fight, , Skate/Street, Drift, Product - Forward, and Events.
- Align social with sampling, retail activations, paid media, and e-commerce.
- Shoot and edit high energy short form content (Reels, Tik Tok, Shorts)
- Capture real-time content at events, gyms, fight nights, and activations
- Create product-forward creative that feels premium but gritty
- Develop shot lists and collaborate on larger campaign shoots
- Own day to day community management
- Build authentic engagement, not vanity metrics
- Identify emerging creators and athletes aligned with the brand
- Help scale priority markets through geo-focused content
- Track KPIs across reach, engagement, saves, shares, and follower growth
- Translate insights into creative optimizations
- Present monthly performance recaps and growth recommendations
- You live on social, not casually, but deeply
- You’re comfortable filming, editing, and being on camera
- You can pivot brand tone instantly
- You move fast and execute without hand holding
- You care about results, not just aesthetics
- You’re organized, accountable, and hungry
You don’t want to maintain a brand. You want to build one.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree
- 4-6 years of social media experience
- Proven track record of growing brand accounts
- Strong short-form video editing skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Cap Cut, and Figma

- Paid social experience (Meta, Tik Tok)
- Experience working with athletes or sports personalities
- Experience in beverage, CPG, fitness, or culture-driven brands
- Familiarity with AI creative tools
- Salary range: $70,000.00 - USD $90,000
- Must be local to Los Angeles with a hybrid in-office work requirement.
- Annual bonus potential of 15% of salary.
- Healthcare coverage through Aetna.
- $75/month cell phone and home office internet reimbursement.
