Digital Marketing Intern

At Withthegrid we're looking for a digital marketing intern who will help us spread our message.

As one of the top clean-tech scale-ups in The Netherlands, we are dedicated to delivering a sustainable, resilient, and future-proof energy system.

For that, we empower grid operators like Stedin, Tenne

T, and Gasunie with our Asset Monitoring Platform. Through IoT sensors and analytics, we provide real-time insights into grid health, streamlining maintenance and ensuring reliability.

Additionally, we collaborate with renewable energy producers (solar, wind and battery owners). They use the Teleport Gateway to add flexibility to the energy system and control their assets in a safe and reliable manner. For example, the Teleport is currently inside the largest battery in the Netherlands, but also on the solar roof of farmers.

What will your internship look like?

As a Digital Marketing intern, you’ll work closely with our Marketer to drive international growth of Withthegrid. Your primary focus will be to support and enhance our digital presence through daily tasks such as content creation, website optimization and campaign execution.

Your main tasks

• Content creation:
  Research and create various types of content for our website (blog posts, videos, images).

• SEO:
  Optimize existing content and improve the website (keywords analysis, fixing errors...).

• Email marketing:
  Assist in creating newsletters to share with our existing and new customers.

• Social media:
  Create and schedule engaging posts for Linked In.

• Paid marketing:
  Support in building paid ad campaigns

• Support our Marketer with other tasks such as creating presentations, preparing marketing events, handling administrative tasks etc.

  What are the requirements?

  • You are studying / have a background in Marketing, Communications, Media, Design, or a related field.

  • You are proactive, creative and have a positive learning attitude. You are able to do research and propose additional marketing initiatives across different channels.

  • You feel comfortable with data and numbers.

  • You are organized and detail-oriented.

  • You are curious about the energy sector and the challenges of the energy transition.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • You are available full-time for a period of 5 to 6 months (fewer hours per week is also possible – to be discussed)

  • You are currently based in the Netherlands.

    Bonus points (but not mandatory):

    • You have graphic design and/or video editing skills.

    • You can use HTML and CSS.

    • You are fluent in Dutch.

        At Withthegrid, our fast-growing team operates in close collaboration. We have an office in Utrecht, and we also provide remote work opportunities. Regardless of your location, we start each day at 9:00 am with a virtual standup. During this call, the entire team gathers to share their progress, ensuring everyone is up to date and ready to support one another if needed.
