TCI is expanding our conference, customer event, and RFP submission activities. We are seeking a hands‑on Marketing Operations and Events Manager to lead the logistics and project management that make these initiatives successful. In this role, you will manage K‑12/ed‑tech RFPs, coordinate internal teams and external vendors, and manage Salesforce tickets and submission logistics. You’ll also plan and execute approximately 15 professional conferences and a range of field and virtual events each year, in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
WhatYou’ll Do
- RFP & Submission Management:
- Serve as the primary manager and oversee RFP/RFI submissions in K‑12/ed‑tech, including daily oversight of Salesforce tickets, cases, and form submissions.
- Lead and evaluate coordination among internal stakeholders and external vendors supporting RFP responses.
- Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of each submission, ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and thorough communication and management of internal processes.
- Participate in mandatory information sessions, and ensure timely submission of annual pricing forms and required district/state documentation.
- Lead coordination of sample shipments and maintain records for submissions.
- Event Operations:
- Organize and lead logistics for ~15 professional conferences per year, including using independent discretion to manage and secure exhibitor services, print/signage, hotel blocks, meeting rooms, AV, shipping, run‑of‑show, and vendor communications.
- Organize and supervise logistics for field and virtual events: space, ordering/services, onsite kits, lead capture, venue/vendor coordination, registration, materials, and shipping.
- Collaborate with and make recommendations to Sales to select and coordinate trainers and speakers for events; oversee all related communications; organize, prepare, and distribute trainer materials and resources; and review submitted expenses against each event.
- Project Management & Cross‑Functional Orchestration:
- Launch and manage Asana projects for each event with tracks for creative, email, content, social, web, and sales enablement.
- Use independent judgment and discretion to orchestrate cross‑functional work, including driving timelines, assigning ownership, and managing approvals.
- Maintain a centralized events calendar and dashboard to track deadlines, risks, budgets, and shipping plans.
- Analyze and evaluate event ROI and lead capture, providing after‑action recommendations and recaps with leads, costs, key learnings, and next steps to improve overall organizational function.
- Vendor & Materials Management:
- Partner with Marketing to assess and manage swag and collateral inventory, source vendors, proof and deliver print materials, and track print sample inventory.
- Manage portals (Freeman/GES/organizer), hotels, shipping, quotes/POs, receipts, and post‑show spend roll‑ups.
- Keep organized documentation for all event logistics.
- 4+ years in event planning, marketing operations, or related project management roles
- Working knowledge of K‑12 education sector RFPs/RFIs, or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to work independently and use discretion to manage multiple concurrent projects (budgets, vendors, timelines)
- Project management tool experience (Asana or similar) required
- Salesforce familiarity required
- Strong communication, vendor negotiation, cross‑team collaboration, evaluation and organizational skills
- Documentation discipline and detail orientation
- Ability to travel up to 15% for major events
