About the Role
A CUSA Public Relations Associate assists in planning and executing communication strategies that promote and protect the organization's reputation. The role involves working with media, managing content, and supporting PR campaigns to increase brand awareness and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
Your ImpactKey Responsibilities
Draft press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials.
Support PR campaigns and brand awareness initiatives.
Maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers.
Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR performance.
Assist with corporate communications, social media messaging, and public announcements.
Coordinate events such as press conferences, product launches, and media briefings.
Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community engagement initiatives.
Track industry news and identify media opportunities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Media relations and storytelling ability
Social media and digital communication knowledge
Organizational and project management skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Basic knowledge of branding and corporate communications
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or Journalism
Internship or entry-level experience in PR, communications, or media relations
The main goal of a Public Relations Associate is to support effective communication strategies that strengthen the organization's reputation, increase media visibility, and enhance Canon brand awareness.

We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $66,300 - $73,650 annually
