Role Overview

The Marketing Assistant is a hands‑on, execution‑focused position responsible for both content creation and event support. The role ensures polished online content and smooth on‑site event execution, reflecting the quality of the brand.

Responsibilities
  • Event & Sponsorship Execution
    • Provide hands‑on support for all firm and sponsor events.
    • Assist with pre‑event preparation: organizing materials, packing supplies, ensuring readiness.
    • Support event setup, breakdown, and overall flow.
    • Assist with check‑in, attendee experience, and logistics during events.
    • Ensure all materials are organized, accounted for, and properly stored post‑event.
    • Work closely with the Outreach & Engagement Coordinator for seamless execution.
    • Capture content during events while balancing operational support.
    • Contribute to a professional, organized, and welcoming event experience.
  • Content Creation & Branding
    • Capture photo and video content at events, partner locations, and in the office.
    • Record client testimonials and behind‑the‑scenes content.
    • Run biweekly content sessions with attorneys, guiding delivery, tone, and presence.
    • Ensure content is clear, professional, and usable across platforms.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to capture meaningful content.
    • Create and edit social media content, flyers, and marketing materials.
    • Build Power Points and presentations from outlines.
    • Ensure all materials are clean, consistent, and on‑brand.
    • Refine messaging to be clear, polished, and easy to understand.
  • Email Marketing Support
    • Assist with newsletters for clients, leads, and referral partners.
    • Format and organize content for distribution.
    • Track performance (open rates, click‑through rates) and suggest improvements.
  • Reporting & Organization
    • Maintain marketing and event tracking spreadsheets.
    • Ensure data is accurate, organized, and up‑to‑date.
    • Support visibility into performance metrics.
Qualifications
  • Required
    • 1–2 years of experience or strong interest in marketing, content creation, or communications.
    • 1–2 years of event support (setup, execution, breakdown).
    • Basic experience with video recording (smartphone and/or handheld camera) and Canva or similar tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and organization.
    • Experience maintaining Google Sheets accurately.
    • Ability to take direction and implement feedback.
    • Reliable and consistent follow‑through.
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment during events.
  • Preferred
    • Experience capturing content for short‑form videos (Reels, Tik Tok) and long‑form videos (You Tube).
    • Experience filming with a handheld camera.
    • Familiarity with email marketing tools.
    • Experience supporting events or working in team environments.
Schedule & Structure

Approximately 15 hours per week, mainly weekdays (Tue–Thu). One event day per week (~6 hours). Hybrid; some work from home, remainder in office or event venue.

Compensation

$19–$20 per hour.
