The Communications General team focuses on internal and external communications projects, including website and intranet creation, media management, public relations, and press releases. It assists in implementing a strategic communications program to build brand image.

This Role In Summary

Senior Manager, Executive & Strategic Communications (on-site, Monday to Friday, at Riverview Campus, Benton Harbor, Michigan). The role will drive sustainable business outcomes through effective strategic, change, executive, and employee communications efforts, reporting to the Director, NAR Communications, and working directly with the NAR Leadership Team. A comprehensive relocation package is available for eligible candidates.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Understanding stakeholder communication and change needs to shape a plan connecting employees to a common purpose, vision, strategy, and key priorities.
  • Working with senior leaders, peers, and cross‑functional partners to develop and deliver measurable change and communication solutions aligned with Whirlpool’s strategic objectives.
  • Developing necessary partnerships globally to achieve strategy and outcomes, and maintaining effective communication channels with key teams, stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
  • Coordinating executive‑level presentations and messaging for town halls, the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, and the North America leadership team.
  • Creating and delivering innovative, two‑way communication solutions that drive better alignment, understanding, adoption, and dialogue within the organization.
  • Directing change management, communication, and training plans for new processes or technologies, working with subject‑matter experts and third‑party vendors.
  • Measuring the success of change interventions, driving action to sustain change by analyzing and interpreting employee data and feedback.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of communications experience.
  • 5+ years focused on developing and executing internal and executive communication strategies.
Preferred Skills And Experiences
  • Direct people‑leadership experience, leading and managing high‑performing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, time‑critical deadlines, and highly sensitive confidential projects while navigating ambiguity.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills; experience ghost‑writing for leaders across various platforms.
  • Experience with change‑management methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong experience working directly with senior leaders and ability to lead through influence.
  • Balance of strategic thinking with execution of tactics; willingness to roll up sleeves and do the work.
  • Proactive, problem‑solving mindset with ability to anticipate senior leaders’ needs before they arise.
