Head of Strategic Partnerships & Influence (Remote)

Give Directly has delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty across 15 countries since 2011. We believe cash transfers are one of the most scalable, cost‑effective, and dignified forms of aid, with supporting research. Our work has been covered by The Economist, NPR, TED, and The Washington Post, and we were named Time
100’s Most Influential Companies of 2026.

We are a candid, analytical, non‑hierarchical culture that supports high ownership and real professional growth.

About the Role

Give Directly’s most significant growth obstacle is awareness: major donors do not yet know about or trust direct cash transfers. This role owns our surrogate, influencer, and brand partnership strategy end‑to‑end, building the relationships and campaigns that put cash transfers before high‑value audiences capable of $1 million+ gifts.

Beyond individual surrogates, the role also owns our nascent brand and media partnership strategy—identifying fintech platforms, personal‑finance media, consumer brands, and other major organizations that can create natural co‑branding opportunities.

Lead a small team within marketing, partnering with press, content, social media, thought leadership, and fundraising teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the strategy and measurement: set the portfolio approach across surrogates, influencers, and brand partnerships; define KPIs, track reach and donation attribution, and ensure coherence with press and thought leadership.
  • Build surrogate relationships: identify, vet, and cultivate relationships with creators, public intellectuals, and thought leaders at scale and speed.
  • Execute campaigns end‑to‑end: design value‑exchange deals, develop briefs, guide partners on messaging, and own post‑campaign analysis from first conversation to final report.
  • Build brand and media partnerships: develop relationships with fintech platforms, personal‑finance media, and consumer brands to broker co‑branded campaigns, product integrations, and editorial partnerships that reach high‑value audiences.
  • Manage and develop a team of two: set clear priorities for a manager and associate and coach for continual improvement.
Success Milestones (12–18 months)
  • Deep surrogate relationships built by cause area (force‑ranked):
    • Extreme poverty – our core offering in Africa.
    • Emergency cash – crisis response, aiming to deliver cash within five days of any crisis.
    • Maternal / child health – evidence shows child mortality can drop by nearly half.
    • U.S. poverty – work covering homelessness, maternal health, and emergency relief.
  • 1–2 brand or media partnerships live: at least one formal partnership with a fintech, personal‑finance media company, or consumer brand that drives measurable reach or donation volume.
  • A distinctive post‑donation experience for surrogate/brand audiences: interactive, exclusive content that turns a new audience into our audience.
  • 2–4 big bets tested, with at least one identified to scale: ambitious, high‑visibility campaigns beyond the existing playbook.
What You’ll Bring
  • At least 6 years of experience in media relations, brand partnerships, influencer marketing, talent management, or cause marketing, with a track record of building programs, not just running campaigns.
  • Relationship‑builder first: engage creators and partners as peers, not vendors, and represent Give Directly’s mission credibly across diverse audiences.
  • High autonomy and follow‑through: comfortable in ambiguity, strong project management, and able to move fast without dropping balls.
  • Alignment with Give Directly’s values and active encouragement for candidates with experience in the communities we serve.
Compensation

We pay generously and equitably. Competitive salary is determined by an accredited third‑party aggregator and includes a target bonus of 15 %, an annual benefits stipend of $21 393, and a total estimated compensation at target of $147 200+. The role is fully remote.

Benefits
  • Annual benefits stipend to cover medical, dental, vision, or as additional taxable income.
  • Paid vacation and sick leave.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Professional development stipend.
  • Flexibility…
