Director, Value & Access Marketing & Strategy (Oncology) – Ipsen

Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid; 3 days in office)

Responsibilities:

  • Determine marketing resource needs for all Value & Access verticals (Corporate Accounts, National & Regional Accounts, Trade, Field Reimbursement, Pricing & Contracting, Patient Services) within the Oncology Business Unit.
  • Develop value propositions for formulary decision makers (Payers, PBMs, GPOs, Institutions) focusing on the Oncology Business Unit.
  • Serve as one of the three 3M (Marketing, Medical, Market Access) leaders of the U.S. Brand Team(s) for each brand within the Oncology Business Unit, representing Value & Access.
  • Represent Value & Access as a member of the Oncology Business Unit Leadership Team (OBULT), demonstrating subject‑matter expertise across all V&A verticals.
  • Lead Value & Access launch planning for any current or future launches within the Oncology Business Unit.
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Brand teams to determine access marketing resource needs from V&A for the Oncology Business Unit.
  • Co‑design strategic priorities for V&A resources (V&A use and field sales use) for each brand, aligned with brand priorities.
  • Represent the V&A Team in key Brand activities including annual planning, pull‑through, product launch, training, forecasting, etc.
  • Work with Marketing/Brand Teams and vendors to review and create pieces aligned with strategy, prioritizing strategic brands and streamlining V&A tools.
  • Sheppard resources through the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) process.
  • Manage critical business‑planning frameworks and activities such as budget management, business reviews, executive meeting content, senior leadership briefings, and presentations.
  • Support above‑brand initiatives such as the V&A Corporate overview presentation, V&A Capabilities presentation, payer pull‑through process, and the My Ipsen V&A website.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with a focus on payer marketing and reimbursement tools within biopharma.
  • Experience working within a competitive space and with agencies on creation of promotional materials.
  • Experience with promotional material review committees (legal, regulatory, medical) and managing new product launches or label expansions.
  • Strong project‑management skills, setting and executing against deadlines and delivering on commitments.
  • Experience with Pharmacy and Medical benefit products, with knowledge of Oncology (preferred), Neurology, and Rare Disease.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a thorough understanding of biopharmaceutical commercialization (brand management, sales planning, market access, regulatory environments).
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders across commercial and internal functions.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement; in‑office and remote working from Cambridge, MA three days per week on average.
  • Functional competencies at a medium‑to‑advanced level:

    Customer Engagement.
  • Education:

    BA/BS required. MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative field strongly preferred.

Salary: $190,500 – $260,000 base annually.
