Client Relationship Manager
Role Summary / Purpose
We’re looking for an account management leader with internal or external creative agency experience to join our growing team at Goldmind Creative, Synchrony’s in‑house full‑service agency. The account management team builds strong client relationships by understanding their needs and delivering solution‑focused support throughout the creative process.
Way of WorkingOur way of working allows flexibility to work from home or from a Synchrony hub. You will be required to attend occasional in‑person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training, and culture events. Travel may be required for client visits or key projects.
Core Responsibilities- Relationship Manager – Owns and manages the daily client relationship, sets expectations, supports the creative team, and ensures client asks align with creative solutions.
- Briefing & Collaboration – Writes creative briefs, works with strategy, creative, project management, and production teams, and facilitates feedback loops between client and agency.
- Problem Solver – Handles unexpected client concerns or internal challenges, maintains calm, and keeps projects moving forward.
- Manager of People – Leads and coaches a team, drives accountability, troubleshoots issues, and cultivates a strategic‑thinking, creative culture.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, journalism or communications, OR high school diploma with 10+ years of account/project‑management experience in a fast‑paced creative agency environment.
- 5+ years of account management experience in a fast‑paced creative agency.
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.
- Consumer‑facing marketing experience.
- Digital marketing fluency – strong understanding of core digital channels (CRM, paid social, email) to strategically challenge recommendations.
- Field of study in marketing, business or communications preferred.
- Clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking ability and strategic, creative mindset.
- Highly detailed‑oriented and organized.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional work ethic and enthusiasm toward colleagues and clients.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team toward a common goal.
- Excellent client‑facing skills with independent judgment in high‑stakes situations.
- Conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of the creative process and level of effort required for various deliverables.
- Proficient in Workfront, a project/workflow management software.
Annual salary range: $75,000.00 – $ USD. Eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
