Full Time | Day Shift | 40 hours per week

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Marketing Specialist based out of our home office in Columbus, Ohio.

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of internal and external marketing, brand strategies and communication, plans and functions to help further the mission, achieve strategic goals and increase awareness of Lutheran Social Services (LSS).

• Assist in developing and executing long- and short-term internal and external marketing and communications plans and strategies that satisfy LSS brand standards and goals.
• Work with LSS Health Center to create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that promotes programmatic goals and supports community outreach efforts.
• Manage and maintain LSS and various program social media channels including developing content, responding to comments and messages, and tracking engagement, with the overall goal of increasing engagement and brand relevance.
• Write, review, edit and coordinate the production of LSS and program marketing and communication materials ensuring relevancy, consistency, and brand compliance. This includes advertisements (all channels), brochures, flyers and more. Work with graphic designer on layout.
• Manage and update the LSS website, including content and basic functional components. Work with external vendors as needed. Assist with Google Analytics measurement and reporting.
• Analyze digital campaign results or work with vendors on reporting and make recommendations on ways to improve the success of digital marketing efforts.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a marketing or communications professional. Non-profit or health care sector preferred.
• Prior relevant marketing and communications experience, including creating engaging content to advance an organization’s mission.
• Social media management experience.
• Experience developing and managing an annual marketing and communications calendar and strategies.
• Understanding of CRM software (Hub Spot is preferred) and marketing automation.
• Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to track and analyze performance metrics.
• Proficiency in managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, Linked In, etc.) and social media analytics technologies to engage a diverse audience.
• Knowledge of CMS platforms (Word Press, etc.) and Microsoft platforms, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Canva and some graphic design experience preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards required.
