The Digital Copywriter develops clear, compelling, audience-focused content that supports the university’s marketing and recruitment goals across digital channels. This role is responsible for writing and optimizing copy for high-visibility web pages, including landing pages, program pages, and top-level university and college sites, as well as creating targeted messaging for digital campaigns and recruitment emails. The position requires the ability to adapt tone and messaging for diverse audiences while maintaining brand consistency and driving engagement.
Additionally, the role contributes limited print copywriting to support integrated marketing efforts.
- Execute the strategic direction for digital content on high-level institutional and high-level college webpages, recruitment email flows, and paid media;
- Ensure alignment with brand voice, UX best practices, and conversion goals.
- Contribute to print copywriting to support integrated marketing efforts.
- Pursue other duties as assigned that support the department or the institution.
Required Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media or related field.
Required Experience
: 1–2 years of experience writing for a reputable brand.

Prior experience in higher education or a similarly structured organization.
Preferred Knowledge
:
Knowledge of SEO best practices to optimize content and assess website performance.
Annual pay: $52,000–$54,000. FLSA Exempt. 12‑month term. Partial remote/telecommute opportunity.
