Description

Summary

Seeking a Communications & Engagement Consultant (contractor) to support a Transformation Office initiative within a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on the tactical execution of internal communications, storytelling, presentation development, and event coordination. The consultant will help drive employee engagement and ensure clear communication around organizational transformation initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support internal communications initiatives including newsletters, intranet content, employee posts, and cross-functional communications.
  • Assist with transformation-related projects such as communications playbooks and engagement activities.
  • Develop and enhance PowerPoint presentations with strong visual storytelling and presentation design.
  • Coordinate internal events including town halls, quarterly meetings, workshops, and leadership sessions.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and autonomy.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent messaging and communication execution.
Responsibilities
  • Draft and edit internal communications materials including newsletters, communication plans, intranet articles, FAQs, video scripts, and internal posts.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations, briefing documents, and talking points for leadership teams.
  • Manage and maintain editorial calendars and project timelines to ensure timely content delivery.
  • Create or coordinate visual assets such as graphics, slides, and videos to simplify complex information for employees.
  • Partner with project teams to support communication strategy execution and employee engagement activities.
  • Coordinate logistics and run-of-show activities for internal events, workshops, meetings, and town halls (virtual and onsite).
  • Manage content across internal digital platforms and maintain up-to-date transformation resources.
  • Support rollout and activation of communication playbook initiatives across multiple projects.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in internal communications, HR communications, corporate communications, copywriting, or content marketing.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex business concepts.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation development skills with a strong eye for visual storytelling.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with SharePoint required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, or Adobe Campaign is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively within large, matrixed organizations and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Required Skills
  • Strong communications and storytelling background.
  • Experience working within large corporate or international organizational structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with creative and newsletter platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data or finance-related information effectively.
