Title
Director, Market Development - Phreesia Network Solutions
LocationRemote in the U.S.; frequent travel required. Priority for candidates based in the NYC/Tristate area and located in the East or Central time zones.
Why This Role ExistsPhreesia Network Solutions has developed an offering at the intersection of patient activation and pharmaceutical marketing. The product is built and legally cleared. An advisory board of pharma brand marketers and agency buyers has validated the value proposition. The first pilot client is identified. The role is to take this offering to market, scale it, prove the commercial model with the first pharma partners, and build a playbook for the broader commercial team.
Responsibilities- Own business outcomes: revenue, pipeline health, customer outcomes, and the commercial trajectory through year two and beyond.
- Positioning and marketing: develop category narrative, messaging, target segmentation, sales collateral, pitch materials, and customer-facing content.
- Pricing and packaging: establish pilot pricing, scale pricing, and lock the pricing model when pilot data is available.
- Product partnership: serve as the voice of the customer to the product team and translate product capability into the commercial offering; shape the roadmap for the next 12–24 months.
- First deals: personally lead the first three or more pilots, structuring conversations and closing contracts, then hand off to the commercial team.
- Cross‑functional alignment: collaborate daily with Product, Legal, Insights & Analytics, Marketing, and Commercial without direct authority.
- Year‑one priorities: close three or more pilots in the first six months; source and sign the next two pilots focused on specialty pharma brands; build the GTM playbook by month nine; ramp the commercial team for year‑two scale; lock the pricing model; establish the category narrative; build credibility through pitches, conferences, and direct conversation with industry thought leaders.
- Deep pharma experience and an active network; most of your career in pharma‑focused consulting, technology, data, or media.
- Current working relationships with brand marketers, HCP marketing leads, innovation directors, or executive leaders in immunology, oncology, or rare disease.
- Ability to position the offering for multiple buyer personas (brand marketers, HCP marketing leads, DTC leads, innovation leads, agency and media partners, executives) and articulate value in each context.
- Track record of launching a new offering from concept to first deal and rollout, with measurable results.
- Strong follow‑through and execution focus.
- Pricing and packaging instincts; set pricing for a new offering before pilot data returns and adjust based on results.
- GM‑style ownership mindset: run the offering as your business, collaborating with stakeholders without managing them.
By 12 months: three or more pilots signed and generating outcome data; GTM playbook transferred to the commercial team; majority of the existing client base engaged by sales; category language adopted by pharma marketers and agencies; pricing locked; product roadmap updated based on customer insights; year‑two launch planned for broad adoption.
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive compensation: base salary (Director / Senior Director band), performance‑based variable, and equity.
- Full total rewards package: benefits support all aspects of life.
- Remote work with frequent travel; 100% remote permitted.
- Flexible PTO with 8 company holidays.
- Monthly reimbursement for cell phone, internet, and wellness.
- 100% paid 12‑week parental leave for U.S. employees; generous parental benefit for Canada.
- Health, vision, dental, pet insurance options.
- Continuing education and professional certification reimbursement.
